SPEAKER PRESENTATION

CMMI for Innovative Business Strategy

Conference Track: Organizational Transformation and Improvement

The primary focus of the legacy CMMI models has been process and operational improvement. The new suite of the CMMI models help organisations align their capabilities to meet strategic objectives. Drawing from current industry thinking in the areas of Strategy and Innovation, this presentation attempts to explain how CMMI can be used by organizations for formulating and furthering their business strategy. The presentation will also cover how the traditional "engineering process group," which has so far mostly limited its focus on improving efficiency can also play a useful role in the strategy formulation process.
