Certification Process for Advanced Individuals

1. Meet Qualification Criteria

   Before applying to become a SCAMPI HMLA, you must:

   • Be a current Certified SCAMPI Lead Appraiser in good standing.
   • Present evidence of having led at least two CMMI SCAMPI A Appraisals and participated as an appraisal team member on at least one high maturity SCAMPI A appraisal.
   • Must have successfully completed theAdvancing Organizational Capability: Achieving High Maturitycourse within the last 5 years.

2. Submit the CMMI Lead Appraiser Application Package

   You must submit:

   • A completed Partner Candidate Sponsorship Form

   • A certification application using the button below:

3. Review Appraiser Application

   Each application will be reviewed by the CMMI Institute Appraiser Application Review committee.

   Present evidence of experience working in a high maturity process improvement environment in one of the following two areas:

   • Developing/facilitating high maturity training at an organization
   • Statistical/quantitative management, or modeling & simulation experience in direct support of managing/building products

4. Pass HMLA Entrance Exam

   After your application has been approved, you will receive instructions to register for the HMLA Entrance Exam.

5. Schedule and complete HMLA Oral Examination

   After passing the HMLA Entrance examination, you can schedule your HMLA Oral Examination by contacting the CMMI Institute.

6. Receive your Certification
