Dr. Bin Cong, Professor

About

Dr. Bin Cong has worked in both industry and academic institutions in the past 30 years. He worked as the CTO for a software firm in Silicon Valley in 2001 and served as a tenured Professor in several universities. Dr. Cong has over 150 publications in reputable Computer Science Journals and Conferences and served as an editor or reviewer for many Computer Science Journals. Dr. Cong has broad experience in Software Engineering both in practice and theory. He is a Certified CMMI High Maturity Lead Appraiser and Instructor. Dr. Cong is the 1st coordinator of Master of Science in Software Engineering at California State University at Fullerton, a top online graduate program in Software Engineering in US, for which he helped to develop. In the past 10 years, Dr. Cong has been working on Agile and Next Generation Software Lean development methodologies, and their integrations with CMMI. He is the author of a popular book “Unity of Learning and Doing: Value Driven Agile and Lean Software Development” which was published in China in 2017. He has presented his work on CMMI High Maturity and Making CMMI a Safety Net for Agile in past SEI/CMMI Institute Conferences.
