Certification Process

  1. Complete prerequisite training

  2. Prepare for the EDM Associate Exam

    The EDM Associate Exam is an open book test based on the course content, designed to test your knowledge and understanding of data management concepts, key benefits, challenges, and success factors that help an organization to implement sound processes.

  3. Take the EDM Associate Exam

    You will have 180 minutes to take the 60-question online examination composed of true/false and multiple-choice questions. The examination may be taken at home or work.

     

    Each student has 90 days to take the EDM Associate Exam once purchased. Students must answer at least 80 percent of the questions correctly to pass the EDM Associate Exam.

  4. Receive your Certification

    If you complete a prerequisite course and pass the EDM Associate Exam, you will be granted an EDM Associate Certification.

    Once achieved, your EDM Associate Certification will be valid for three years. Renewing the certification requires retaking the EDM Associate Exam. Questions will vary from exam to exam.

    Upon meeting all requirements, students will receive a certificate of achievement. You will also be listed on our public Certified Associate and Professional Directory.
